The objective of baccarat is to bet on the outcome of a game played between the “Player” and the “Banker.”

At the game start, two cards will be dealt to each of the Player and the Banker.

The cards are revealed and whichever hand has a score closest to 9 wins. If the scores for both the player and the banker are low enough, a 3rd card can be drawn (see: Drawing Rules).

Card Values in Baccarat

All cards from 2 to 9 are counted at their face value and an Ace is counted as 1. Picture cards and tens are worth 0.

Hand Values in Baccarat

The hand value for the Player and the Banker is calculated by adding its card values. If the total is more than 9, only the second digit of the total is used. For example, a hand with a 7, a 5 and another 5 is worth 7 (7 + 5 + 5 = 17, and you only use the second value, 7).

Before the game is played you may place a bet on any of the available betting zones. The available betting zones may differ depending on the table settings.
